Job Fire Pump Technician, Canberra

Morson Edge Recruitment is partnering with a close-knit fire protection team seeking an experienced Fire Pump Technician to service, maintain, repair, and test diesel and electric pump sets across Sydney sites - This role is ideal for someone with industry experience who is looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a hands-on, field-based role working across schools, strata, and commercial sites, reporting directly to the Service Manager whilst working autonomously. This is a rare opportunity for the right person to step in and play a key role in growing and shaping the wet fire services division of the business.

Role Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, and maintenance of electric and diesel fire pumps
• Carry out sprinkler and hydrant flow testing
• Monthly and annual testing programs
• Fault finding, repairs, and overhauls
• Oil, valve, and filter changes
• General wet system works (minor works as required)
• 5-yearly pump set servicing
• 5-yearly overhauls of landing valves and sprinkler alarm valves

About you:

• Must hold either a Sprinkler Fitter qualification or Plumbing Licence
• Experience in the fire protection industry is essential, with strong hands-on experience working with fire pumps also required.
• Able to work autonomously and take ownership of work
• Strong problem-solving and technical ability
• Experience in a field service role highly regarded
• Reliable, trustworthy, and willing to grow with the business
