Service Technician Electrical or Mechanical – Major Wind Farms – Mid North Region of SA

Opportunity available for either experienced Wind Technicians or people looking for entry into the Wind Industry! Electrical or Mechanical background.

Due to the skills already on site, we will consider trade qualified candidates without Wind Farm experience with full training and qualifications offered for the right people.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Lead Technician, you will be one of the team of service technicians who will ensure that operations and maintenance work is executed safely, to a high standard and with minimal downtime to the assets on a major Wind farm based in regional SA, in Hornsdale.

Duties

• Actively participate in WHSE, toolbox and daily pre-start meetings
• Assist in the completion of Wind Turbine scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Assist in maintaining wind farm Balance of Plant equipment
• Maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders
• Assist in achieving targeted wind farm performance standards

Skill, Experience and Qualifications – Essential

• Trade experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Avionics or related field
• Current driving license
• Previous experience working on large commercial or industrial projects
• Working within a troubleshooting or fault-finding environment
• Located within commutable distance of Hornsdale
• Physically fit and able to climb towers
