Job from partnerCleared Recruitment are currently supporting an organisation within the Defence and Intelligence sector on the search for a Project Support Officer (PSO).
This organisation operates across digital, cyber and intelligence capabilities, supporting government, defence and commercial organisations in highly secure and complex environments.
The purpose of the Project Support Officer (PSO) role is to provide high-quality project coordination, governance and delivery support across projects and services. The role will support Project Managers and senior delivery professionals to ensure projects are planned, governed and delivered in line with agreed objectives, standards and methodologies.
This opportunity would suit a junior project professional who already has foundational experience within a project or delivery environment and is looking to further develop their capability across project coordination, reporting, assurance and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will work across a range of project and service delivery teams, supporting the end-to-end project lifecycle and contributing to successful delivery outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders. Working alongside experienced project professionals, the role will involve applying project management tools, controls and methodologies to support scheduling, governance, reporting, risk management and financial tracking.
This role also offers exposure to multiple projects and workstreams, providing strong development pathways into more senior project delivery positions over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day project coordination and administrative support across one or more projects or workstreams.
- Support Project Managers and senior delivery professionals with mobilisation activities across teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, tracking and governance activities across the project lifecycle.
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, RAID registers, governance artefacts and reporting packs.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting across project status, risks, issues, milestones and financials.
- Support change control and governance processes.
- Assist with project close activities including lessons learned and documentation management.
- Support assurance activities, governance forums and stakeholder engagement as required.
Clearance Requirements
An active TSPV clearance is required for this role, however NV2 candidates may also be considered depending on experience and suitability.
Additional Information
This role sits within a highly secure environment, therefore onsite attendance will be required. Some flexibility around start and finish times may be available depending on project requirements.
