We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist with solid experience in Vitreoretinal and General Ophthalmology Scrub/ Scout to join our clinical team on a full-time basis. Monday to Friday - no weekends, no public holidays, no overnights, no on-call.
Start date and contracted hours negotiable for the right applicant and Part-time or Full-time role negotiable
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
Lead and drive the nursing team to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care
assist in the management of team rosters, workloads and delegation of tasks
supporting the GM/ DON and NUM in quality activities and procurement
Ensure the theatre complex and equipment are ready for surgery
Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
fast paced, friendly and supportive team environment
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
Solid experience in Vitreoretinal and General Ophthalmology Scrub/ Scout essential
Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or similar
Current AHPRA registration
A passion for education and mentoring
Advanced clinical and technical skills including problem solving skills
