Our Host Employer is a South Australian family-owned company who, over the past 41 years, have experienced progressive growth to meet the needs of their customers and the steel fabrication industry, becoming a market leader when it comes to technology and fabrication economics. As an Apprentice Boilermaker, you will learn how to work with heavy structural steel in a workshop environment, developing skills in fabrication, welding and assembly.
Some of the things you will do are;
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Measure and mark out materials
- Assist with preparation and fabrication of large steel components
- Gain hands-on experience with welding, grinding, cutting and fitting
- Support qualified tradespeople during fabrication processes
- Use a range of tools and workshop machinery
- Learn and apply safe operating practices
Location: Gillman
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00am – 2.30pm with regular RDO’s
