Kinaway is the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses in Victoria. We support more than 330 certified Aboriginal businesses and work closely with more than 250 corporate partners to build practical and sustainable opportunities.
Expressions of Interest are now open for the Chief Executive Officer role.
The CEO will:
- Deliver Kinaway’s strategic priorities with measurable outcomes
- Strengthen financial and operational sustainability
- Support a respectful and safe workplace with fair and consistent performance expectations
- Build strong relationships with government, corporate, and community stakeholders
- Maintain Kinaway’s credibility and influence as the peak body for Aboriginal businesses in Victoria
This is a full-time senior executive role based in Melbourne and reporting directly to the Board.
Designated PositionThis position is designated for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. Only applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander will be considered.
Conflict of Interest RequirementThis role is not open to current business owners. Applicants must not own, operate, or have a controlling interest in any business to avoid actual or perceived conflicts of interest.
What We Are Looking For- Proven ability to build and maintain senior government relationships and influence policy outcomes
- Demonstrated success in securing government and partner funding
- Experience leading organisations and teams with integrity and accountability
- Financial and operational management capability
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse stakeholders
- Understanding of the opportunities and challenges for Aboriginal businesses in Victoria
