This role is available, as the last Contract Administrator has been promoted to Project Manager. My client has a robust history of promoting from within. Many of their Team staying permanently and making this their career employer.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As the Contracts Administrator, you will report to the Project Manager. You will work collaboratively with the site, design, and project teams to deliver multiple projects across Canberra, from the design stages through to completion. These projects range up to $30M. You will liaise with the client and the project team to ensure that the project is delivered to a high standard.
Duties include:
- Manage multiple new build projects from pre-construction to handover.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to meet project goals.
- Develop and adjust schedules, budgets, and resources for on-time, cost-effective delivery.
- Monitor project progress, address gaps, and take corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, and regulations, and promote safety and quality.
- Foster a positive team culture that values hard work and support.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, specialising in new builds.
- Expertise in estimating, cost control, and financial management.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and materials.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- Valid driver’s license and White Card.
- Positive attitude and good sense of humour!
