Federal Government Engagement – Canberra Based (4 days on site per week)
Are you a seasoned ICT professional with the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business outcomes? We are seeking an experienced Technical Service Delivery Manager to oversee and drive the delivery of managed ICT services within a complex and high-profile environment.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on balancing hands-on technical expertise with strong service delivery and stakeholder management skills. You’ll act as the key liaison between external vendors, internal technical teams, and business stakeholders—ensuring services are delivered seamlessly, risks are managed, and performance consistently aligns with contractual obligations and organisational objectives.
AGSVA Clearance Required
You must hold an active NV2 Clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of ICT service delivery, ensuring alignment with SLAs and KPIs.
- Oversee transitions of new services and providers, driving technical readiness and clear expectations.
- Manage contracts for managed ICT services and support approaches to market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at both executive and operational levels.
- Drive continuous improvement in service performance, documentation, and escalation processes.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure integration and efficiency across the Microsoft ecosystem.
You combine deep technical knowledge with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences. You are equally comfortable in the server room as you are in the boardroom, with proven experience managing services, risks, and vendors in a high-stakes ICT environment.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field; ITIL Foundation certification.
- Strong technical expertise across Microsoft 365, Windows server, Active Directory, Exchange, Intune, Entra ID, MDM, PowerShell, and SOE deployment.
- Experience with security technologies (Defender, Sophos, Tenable).
- 5+ years in technical roles and 5+ years in service delivery/management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to manage risks, issues, releases, and senior stakeholder expectations.
