Hi there! I’m Jackie—flower enthusiast, proud mom, and the quirky soul behind Burlap & Twine. If you’ve ever wondered who’s running around North Austin with a VW truck full of blooms, yep, that’s me!
I was born in sunny Southern California, but life led me here to Austin, where I live with my favorite people: my 15-year-old son Aiden, my partner of 10 years, Rick (we met on Tinder—modern romance at its finest!), and our two Great Pyrenees, Mello and Beans. It’s a busy, love-filled household, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I’ve always been a creative spirit, dabbling in all things artsy, but the universe (and, let’s be honest, a global pandemic) gave me the nudge I needed to channel that creativity into flowers. Burlap & Twine officially hit the road in 2021, and it’s been an amazing, slightly chaotic adventure ever since!
Here’s a fun fact: my floral journey started with YouTube tutorials and a whole lot of determination. Those early days of trial and error blossomed into a passion for creating stunning designs that celebrate creativity and joy. My hope is that Burlap & Twine inspires you to pick up blooms and play—because creativity isn’t about perfection; it’s about having fun and making something beautiful along the way.
This journey has been a family effort, and I’m so excited to share it with you. Whether you’re building your dream wedding or just grabbing a bouquet for your kitchen table, I’m here to make your flower moment as joyful and unique as possible.
